Eye Industries is a comprehensive music company comprising a record label, management division and music supervision department. It is home to a number of international acts and producers including Alan Braxe, Popular Computer, Cassette Club, and Tony Senghore. Started in 1996, Eye Industries began life as Eye Media, when Managing Director Rob Sutcliffe returned from Los Angeles. With a strong management roster the company delivered and managed a number of international hits including Room 5’s “Make Luv,” which was number one in the UK for three weeks and airplay single of the year.
After releasing a number of limited 12″ promos in 2004, Eye Industries became a fully-fledged record label with the release of Michael Gray’s ‘The Weekend’. The track was an international success, reaching No.7 in the UK chart and has to date received over 45,000 plays on UK radio. A number of crossover singles followed and classic underground tracks (including Pac Jam’s ‘Urban Minds’) further established the label as a breeding ground for cool music.
Other notable releases include the Michael Gray follow up ‘Borderline’, featuring Shelley Poole and Bodyrox feat. Luciana ‘Yeah Yeah’. Having built throughout the summer the track reached No.2 in the UK charts and the year ended with two Eye singles on the Christmas NOW album. Desire Music Publishing, a division of Eye Industries, was launched in 2003 as a joint venture with Stage 3 Music with a view to signing and developing new writers.
