Eye Industries are incredibly excited to announce that the legend that is (Dj)Tonka has joined us for exclusive worldwide management.  Now for those of you who might not know him by his name chances are you will have at some point danced to his records and remixes.  Tonka started his illustrious career at a very early age together with his best buddy and school mate Ian Pooley in 1991. Under the synonyms T`N`ISpace Cube and Outrage they released a whole bunch of early techno, house and breakbeat  records on underground labels such as Force Inc. (Germany), Edge Records (UK) and R&S (Belgium). After achieving notoriety with Ian he started releasing groundbreaking cut up disco 12inches (1995) on the legendary Force Inc imprint, basically inventing a completely new genre in itself.   Such was Tonka’s influence on the early dance scene, artists such as Daft Punk have name checked him as one of their influences.

Having recently relocated to Munich, Tonka is back tearing up the clubs with new music on Great Stuff and Southern Fried. Major club support coming from Carl CoxTigaSwitchAnnie Nightingale (Radio 1)Eddy Temple Morris (XFM)Steve Aoki, Axwell, James Theaker (NME), Shinichi Osawa, Laidback LukeJudge Jules (Radio 1),  Ben WattPeter Kruder etc..

Well Tonka has now decided to move the goalposts to a different pitch and is ready to unleash a new chapter in his story.   Producing the first single for Eye Industries artist ‘Mercedes‘ Tonka has embraced his early influences but twisted them into a new pop vibe like only he could.

Tonka is coming, so sayeth the drums!!!!
